People & Culture Partner
Join us as People & Culture Partner, on-site in our Hamburg office!
At Twin Harbour Interactive we strive to develop high-quality strategy games and make them accessible for all players around the world. In our eyes game development is a promise for fun and entertainment – that’s what we live and aim for!
You will be the person leadership turns to when it comes to people. Not for paperwork, but for the real questions: how should the team be structured, how do we keep the people who make the difference, how do we grow managers who are worth following.
Our Hamburg studio is looking for a People & Culture partner to own the local people agenda. Administration sits with our central HR Admin Hub, recruitment with our central Talent Acquisition team which means your time goes into leadership advisory, culture and organisational work, with the backing of a group that already has the infrastructure in place.
This is a full time role, hybrid in Hamburg, initially for two years with a strong intention to extend.
YOUR MISSION
The people agenda for the studio: engagement, culture, retention and how we grow the organisation.
Leadership as a craft. You coach managers, build the development offer and raise the bar on how people decisions get made here.
Organisational design and workforce planning together with the studio leadership team.
Performance and compensation cycles, including calibration and pay decisions with leadership.
The difficult conversations. Complex employee relations, change situations and anything that needs judgement and discretion.
Local benefits and wellbeing, from strategy to provider choice and budget.
A clear point of view backed by data on what is actually happening in the studio.
The studio's voice towards central HR Admin Hub and Group People functions. You help shape the standards, not just apply them.
You will work closely with Talent Acquisition on hiring priorities and with the HR Admin Hub on payroll and admin, without carrying the operational load of either.
YOUR BACKSTORY
Experience as an HR Business Partner, People & Culture Manager or similar, with enough scope behind you to operate independently.
Credibility with senior leaders. You can disagree with a managing director and still be in the room.
A working command of German labour law and the pragmatism to apply it commercially.
Curiosity about people data and about AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini as part of how you work.
Comfort in a matrix setup with central functions and international colleagues.
Fluent English. German is a plus, not a requirement.
Based in Hamburg and happy to be in the studio with the team.
If you do not tick every box but the scope excites you, we would still like to hear from you.
