You'll be joining the team behind Supremacy: Warhammer 40,000, our newest live title and the most ambitious game in the franchise. Built on grand-scale PvP strategy and set in one of the richest, most passionately followed universes in gaming, Supremacy: Warhammer 40,000 is a live game with real momentum and a community that holds its universe to a high standard.
The Supremacy franchise is one of Stillfront Group's biggest and fastest growing ones. Supremacy is being operated from Hamburg and Malta with location-bound game operations. This role offers the stability of a market leader combined with the creative agility of a specialized studio.

What You'll Do
As our Game Designer - Systems & Economy, you take full ownership of the game’s mathematical heartbeat - from initial balancing concepts through to live iteration. You are the go-to expert for ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and fair, providing the essential clarity other disciplines need to move forward.
Own design tasks end-to-end and write detailed technical documentation that Tech, Art, and QA can build from.
Balance and tune game systems through playtesting and live feedback, and make UX a core part of every design.
Design for live operations and long-term game health - balance business needs with sustainable development and use data and player feedback to drive iteration.
Navigate real constraints without losing quality. Adjust scope intelligently and find creative solutions when the ideal design isn't feasible.
Collaborate across disciplines with Tech, Marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are implementable and performant.
Contribute to roadmap planning and long-term vision discussions – spot risks early, challenge assumptions, and help translate high-level goals into achievable design work.

Who you'll work with on the Warhammer team:
Lead Game Designer – your closest collaborator on roadmap planning and design direction; you'll challenge and shape long-term strategy together.
5 fellow Game Designers und one Live Ops Designer – a multidisciplinary team focused on executing the core vision and maintaining a balanced player experience.
Your Backstory
Experience as a Game Designer, Level Designer or UX Designer with live-service games - you've designed features that went live, learned from their performance, and iterated based on real player behavior.
Data-informed decision making - you're comfortable with Excel, metrics, A/B testing, funnels, and player feedback loops, combining quantitative signals with qualitative insight.
Experience with F2P mobile titles - you've shipped features and gameplay for mobile, balancing long-term game health with product feasibility and business needs.
Strong technical game design skills - you write clear, comprehensive documentation that reduces implementation risk and work closely with engineers to ensure feasibility.
Clear communication across disciplines - you can explain complex design rationale to non-designers and document decisions so everyone understands the reasoning.
Comfortable with ambiguity and tradeoffs - you can start with unclear requirements, ask the right questions, and make pragmatic calls when perfect solutions aren't available.
Fluency in English; you're confident in communicating complex ideas to cross-functional teams.
Seeking opportunities in Hamburg or Malta with a valid work permit in hand.
Nice-to-have
Experience with strategy, simulation, or management games with long-term planning and information-dense interfaces.
Passion for grand strategy titles and a deep understanding of competitive PvP strategy for both hardcore and casual players.
Passion for the Warhammer 40,000 setting, with knowledge of the lore and community.
Experience with F2P monetization design.
Experience working in hybrid, remote, or multi-location game development teams.
Background in game balance for PvP or competitive systems.
