The Supremacy franchise is one of Stillfront Group’s biggest and fastest growing ones. Supremacy is being operated from Hamburg and Malta with location-bound game operations.
This role uniquely combines operational studio leadership with strategic product mentorship in our Malta office: As local operational lead for the Malta studio with accountability for execution stability, organizational scalability and effectiveness, as much as cross-locational coordination. As mentor for the team on executing the franchise’s long-term product strategy guiding the evolution of our live titles. The Executive Studio Director is leading a powerful unit in charge of local support structures, spanning from HR to Legal, from Office Management to Office IT. The reporting line is directly to the Vice President of the Supremacy Franchise.
YOUR MISSION
Product Management & Team Mentorship
Assist driving franchise product strategy and vision, ensuring Supremacy titles align with the overarching brand, player expectations, and business goals.
Mentor product staff on roadmaps from product owners, ensuring decisions are informed by player insights, data, and franchise direction.
Challenge product performance on live projects, optimizing engagement, retention, and monetization outcomes.
Champion a player-first mindset, ensuring titles under the Supremacy umbrella deliver exceptional experiences that reinforce the franchise identity.
Represent an escalation Instance for product/production problems
Ensure revenue strategies balance commercial success with long-term player trust and value.
Studio Structures and Franchise standards
Support the creation of a scalable studio structure that supports efficient expansion of Production.
Ensure production readiness, predictable delivery, and coordinated execution in the Malta studio.
Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks that impact organizational velocity, collaboration, and clarity.
Develop Hamburg’s local support structures and own connections to Stillfront’s hubs.
Liaise with the Executive Studio Director Hamburg and the Executive Director Production for franchise-wide initiatives and working standards.
Drive local adoption of AI into workflows.
Act as a senior escalation point for operational issues, trade-offs, and execution risks within the Malta studio.
HR and staff development
Support the development of our staff and assure timely hiring of new talent in coordination with stakeholders.
Own the local HR suite, from staff cost planning and staff cost development to feedback talks.
Foster an onsite studio culture on Malta
Monitor and support employee satisfaction levels, sustainable practices, and continuous team engagement.
Support local product and production leaders through challenge, feedback, and escalation handling.
Operations
Provide a high-class onsite work environment.
Own internal communication and studio culture.
Organize local events, own travel costs and arrange Hamburg visits.
Act as a shield for the leadership team by absorbing distractions and solving issues proactively.
Own and improve local 3rd party partnerships including applications for grants and public subsidies.
Act as the first touchpoint for legal matters including but not limited to privacy questions.
YOUR PROFILE
Passion for strategy and mobile games, with at least 10 years of experience in product management or senior leadership within the games industry.
Experience in leading game development teams, ideally with exposure to both small independent teams and larger corporate environments.
Demonstrated ability to mentor leaders, scale organizations, and balance creative agility with operational structure.
Comfortable managing in hybrid or remote environments, fostering cohesion across global teams.
Strong understanding of studio operations and cross-functional leadership,
mobile F2P games, player lifecycle management, live operations,Excellent collaboration and communication skills; adept at working with production, design, and marketing counterparts in a matrix setup and able to align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.
Nice to Have
Experience managing or integrating a small to mid-size studio into a larger organization.
Background in mobile live-ops or cross-platform strategy games.
Passion for grand strategy, multiplayer experiences, and long-term player engagement models.
Strong interest in organizational development, coaching, and studio culture building.
